In 2024, the Board of the Harris Kyriakides Foundation approved the following initiatives:

First Initiative – Scholarships for Cypriot Students

The Harris Kyriakides Foundation will offer scholarships to Cypriot students, an initiative that was particularly dear to Harris Kyriakides, reflecting his passion for supporting not only young lawyers but also law students.  To this effect, the Foundation has introduced an annual scholarship for one Cypriot student (either Greek or Turkish Cypriot) who enrolls in the Civil Procedure course at the University of Oxford. The scholarship will be for an amount of £10,000 annually. Additionally, scholarship recipients will contribute to the literature on this subject, ensuring that Cyprus continues to evolve its legal tradition. Second Initiative – Seminars for Young Lawyers

Harris Kyriakides was very keen on young lawyers becoming familiar with rules on professional ethics and courtroom conduct. He frequently emphasised the importance of instilling values such as integrity, confidentiality, and honesty in the next generation of lawyers.  To honour his vision, the Harris Kyriakides Foundation organises annual training programmes and lectures on legal ethics and professional conduct.  Click here for more information on this initiative.

Third Initiative – Community

Harris Kyriakides had a deep affection for its community. As part of the Harris Kyriakides Foundation’s ongoing efforts, the Board decided to collaborate with the Larnaca Municipality to support the development of the Municipal Park Salina, which is one of the most prominent projects of the Larnaca community.  Click here for more information on this initiative.
